There are footballing dynasties like the Maldini family, who have had three generations play for AC Milan.

Having a famous footballing dad often raises the pressure on their sons. There is an expectation that they have to be as good as their dad. Ideally, they would create their own journey as a footballer, regardless how good their dad was.

Although we're not professional footballers, my dad and I played football in the Malaysian amateur scene. He played between the late 1980s and early 2000s while I'm actively playing. He played as a winger. I started as a winger before moving to right-back. I'm now a goalkeeper.
