The Nine Hottest Male Boxers

Hot Boxers

Boxing is widely known for its fast reflexes, blood, fights, and muscular men. Those traits have historically allowed muscular, hot men to step into the ring and hearts worldwide. If you are in need of a new muscular crush, one of these nine boxers will surely fill the void.

1. Amir "King" Khan

His nickname is the king for a reason. Khan reigns supreme as the most beautiful and sexiest pugilist in all the land. Born and raised in Bolton, England, in a Janjua Rajput origin British Pakistani family (with roots in the Punjab), he catapulted into the limelight from the 2004 Olympics to become Britain's highest-profile boxer.

Known for his tremendous hand speed and explosive combinations, the caramel mochaccino is a former two-time world champion, winning WBA, WBA (Super), and IBF light Welterweight titles.

Outside of the ring, the king tied the knot to a beautiful Pakistani-American on May 31st, 2013, at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. He has also helped raise a million dollars for the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami victims and dispensed food in Pakistan after the Kashmir earthquake. Similarly, Khan is a front-line activist against cruelty to children and violence against women.

2. Anthony "AJ" Joshua

Standing at an imposing 6-feet-6 inches, Joshua has the awe-inspiring body of a greek god. Not the art of Florence crafted by the masters of Renaissance sculpture could’ve chiseled this body type. This tall drink of water was a later bloomer, picking up the sport at the ripe old age of 18 on a recommendation by a cousin.

A natural, he emerged victorious at one of England’s premier boxing events in only his 18th bout. Being touted as the next big thing, he was offered over $50,000 to turn pro but shocked the local boxing community, saying, “I didn't take up the sport for money; I want to win medals."

Two years later, Anthony would win gold at the 2012 London Games, going from a big fish in a small pond to an international player. The former bricklayer is now an unbeaten professional boxer, climbing the ranks one demolition at a time in hopes of joining his other celebrated countrymen as heavyweight champion of the world.

3. David "Hayemaker" Haye

It’s not his patented haymaker that will knock you out, but the total package of a bulky physique, bay boy beauty, and a bawdy tongue.

Born to a white English mother and black Jamaican father, Haye began honing what he refers to as the “haye-maker,” which comprises coiling that awesome body, reaching back into the stands, and firing a power punch that’ll lift a grown man right out of his shoes.

Billed as David versus Goliath, Haye broke out of the shadows as a British heavyweight talent, outboxing and outfoxing the largest man ever to win a belt, standing 7 feet tall and a massive 320 pounds. Slaying Goliath put Haye on a collision course against heavyweight kingpin Vladimir Klitschko.

In the biggest fight of his professional career, the caramel bomber failed to solve the Ukrainian riddle in an action-packed fight at the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Plagued with injuries throughout his entertaining and illustrious career, one of David’s most memorable moments on the hit reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here is bathing in a waterfall and showing off his backside to the world.

4. Sergio "Maravilla" Martínez

It's not his smoldering good looks that earned him the nickname "Maravilla" (marvel in Spanish), but a crowd-pleasing fighting style that is both unorthodox and entertaining.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he rose to stardom, winning his first championship belt on only eight days of preparation.

Since claiming his inaugural belt, the left-handed dulce de leche has racked up multiple belts and is widely regarded as not only one of the greatest fighters in the world but also in the history of his weight class.

Outside of the ring, the dark and handsome Argentine currently resides in Madrid, Spain, where he trains. Bullied as a youth, Martínez is now an activist against bullied children and domestic violence against women.

He was quoted as saying: "With domestic violence, no one wanted to touch the subject with a 10-foot pole. I was interested in the issue that a boxer, who dishes out violence, could also be thoughtful and do something, and people would listen to someone like me. I thought I could have the most impact by speaking out on the issue." A fighter and a lover.

5. Danny "Swift" Garcia

Oddly enough, Garcia’s signature win was against another beauty on our list from across the pond. Hailing from North Philadelphia, the soft-spoken Puerto Rican American turned pro at the tender age of 19 after falling short of an Olympic gold dream.

Chicharito is a shot consisting of Palo Viejo brand white rum mixed with anise liqueur. Garcia's patient and steady boxing style is the anise liqueur. The rum that kicks in when you least expect it? Garcia's "lights out" left hook.

In September 2013, Garcia put his undefeated record and three titles on the line against an Argentine bad boy on a fight card that broke pay-per-view records.

Beyond the ring, Swift's investment portfolio includes a Philadelphia barbershop, a clothing line, and a recording studio promoting local artists.

6. Anthony Ogogo

He is one of the few people in the world that could wear a t-shirt, reading, “I’m a professional boxer, model, and got hurt on a reality TV show." There is not a dull moment in Anthony Ogogo's jet-set life.

Born to an English mother and Nigerian father, he first laced up the gloves at the tender age of 12, capturing a gold medal at the 2004 Junior Olympics held in Texas.

Living up to Charlie Sheen's "winning" mantra, he would capture another gold at the 2005 World Championships and Olympic bronze later at the 2012 London Games. This kind of impressive work landed him a plush contract at Golden Boy Promotions to turn professional.

Outside of the squared circle, Ogogo entered Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack, finishing in fourth place. He also posed nude for Attitude magazine and continues to work as a semi-professional model through his official website. And finally, he holds the dubious honor as a pro boxer of sustaining an injury off a diving board on the ITV hit reality show Splash!.

7. Abner Mares

Born in Jalisco, Mexico, but raised in Hawaiian Gardens, California, Mares has an incredible story of triumph over tragedy. The ciruela paleta used his two fists to avoid gang life, leading to a heartbreaking first-round loss at the 2004 Olympic tournament in Athens.

Forced out of boxing for a year due to a detached retina, the Mexican fighter had to trade in the gloves to make ends meet and became a disposable menial worker. However, the wound healed, and by 2013 Mares achieved something extraordinary, winning world titles in three weight divisions.

Outside of the ring, he takes pride in being a family man. A married father of two young daughters, Mares said, "Once you become champion, you just want more," adding, "My work has given me enough to upgrade to good things for my family."

8. Ray Edwards

Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, this 6'5" Capricorn played college football for three years at Big Ten school Purdue from 2003-2005.

Although he made some impressive numbers, he was drafted as the 127th pick (4th round) of the 2006 NFL draft. Nicknamed “Monk,” he would be suspended for four games by the National Football League for violating the league's steroid policy.

Determined to prove his naysayers wrong, the Cincinnati crunch bar would return to the NFL and have a breakout year, recording 8.5 sacks as the starting left defensive end. In 2010, we would fall on hard times again, feeling disillusioned with football and struggling to maintain his focus with the Atlanta Falcons.

He decided to lace up the gloves and made his professional boxing debut at a Minnesota casino, defeating T. J. Gibson in a four-round bout. Feeling rejuvenated with a new lease on life, James is currently an undefeated heavyweight with nine victories coming by way of knockout.

9. Miguel "Angel" Cotto

This inked-up bad boy, known as the Heart and Pride of Puerto Rico, is as devastating in the ring as he is outside. A four-division world champion, Cotto (40-4, 31 KOs) of Caguas, Puerto Rico, has sold more tickets to Madison Square Garden than any other fighter in this millennium.

Inside the ring, he is one of only a few men who can boast of having fought two of the greatest fighters of an era: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Outside the squared circle, the rugged heartthrob is a happily married man with three kids.

He runs "Miguel Cotto Promotions," which co-promotes his action-packed fights around the world and organizes fight cards in his Caribbean homeland. Cotto has also found time to give back to his community, founding "El Ángel," a non-profit organization that promotes physical activity and measures against infant obesity.
